| Our Philosophy At Step By Step we believe a child's early exposure to an educational, fun, creative and safe environment is essential for providing a foundation for an excellent start. Our program is designed to teach children in a creative environment that provides them the opportunity to grow socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively. |
| Hours and Attendance Step By Step is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am until 6:00pm We offer full time programmes for all ages and part time for children 1 year and older. All parents have their own pass-code for our key pad entry system and we ask all children to be signed in and out daily by their parent/guardian. |
| Teachers It is important to us that your child has the best teacher possible while they are in our care. Teachers go through an application process, are observed in the classroom setting and if hired have a probationary period to ensure they are right for our learning environment and are with the right age group for their experience and skills. All staff are rigorously checked when they join Step By Step through local, state and FBI background checks and well as reference checks. All staff must have the state regulated 40 hours of training in child care as well as at least 10 hours additional training annually. At Step By Step we encourage our teachers to gain as much knowledge as possible about child care and early education. If you have any questions about your child's care or learning our teachers are always happy to answer your queries or make helpful suggestions to help you be informed and make the best choices about your child's learning. It is state mandated that at least two staff be first aid and CPR trained on site. It is Step By Step's belief that all staff should have this vital training. Therefore, we require all our teachers to have adult and child first aid and CPR training. |
